Ascendary Megalith

Ascendary Megalith

beneath stone
still sound
crush
ascendary megalith
beneath soil
ever scent
terrene
mica adorned quartz
blue blush vein
throbs light smithereens
a wetted pungent slab
taste ore lapidate
salt of the earth
alkalescent
gem a quiver
palpitate echo
reverberant
lithic drum solo.

  1. Thanks *J* for this rich dirtdepthtrip. very sensory "taste ore lapidate"...i rippled out from reading this, your descent and "snakeshining dark" (here: http://imunuri.blogspot.com/2013/10/snakeshining-dark.html) emerged immediately. sparking sparkling - where do these come from, really?

  2. This has so many beautiful shells! I'm reading, picking them up and turning them over and over: I love "blue blush vein"
I had to read "terrene" a few times and look it up. (Adj. Earthly)
I love the unexpected cadence and meanings of "gem a quiver"
how gems quiver in the light, and also the idea of gems being a quivering moment of stone and mineral. It leaves me aquiver.
Also dig your drum solo at the end.
